Hi Everyone and welcome
to this months Hobby Polish Bloggers link up.
Our December Link-Up is a winter/holiday theme.
I picked probably one of the most used motifs ever, snowflakes. I found this design in the December issue of Nails magazine. The design is called Winter Wonderland and can be found here.

July 2013-Nail Journal #2 Secret Peri-wink-le
Nail Journal 7/12/2013
Secret Peri-wink-le
Polishes:
China Glaze-Secret Peri-wink-le
Orly-Instant Artist-Sky Blue
Sally Girl-So Disco
Notes: It goes without saying that these two blues are high quality polishes. It is a matter of if one likes Periwinkle, and it is one of my favorite colors. The Orly had a nice long art brush so it was easy to make the S-curves. I had to add some sparkle for good measure. I did this a while ago and just now noticed that the S curve on my pointer is curving in a different direction, oh well......
China Glaze and Orly are cruelty free. I am not sure about Sally Girl.

Sally's Banana Does A Pirouette
Hello, today I have yellow. I have been wanting to try yellow for a while. I was pretty sure I would like it. And yep, I do. After all, I even have a yellow house! This polish is Bananas by Sally's Beauty. I picked up this little Sally Girl while vacationing in Florida (had to get my polish fix) and it does smell like bananas. I think scented polishes are a bit gimmicky, but it isn't a bad smell. It's a mini and minis are always a little harder to work with. The wand handles are always so small.
To top things off, I added my favorite glitter, OPI's Pirouette My Whistle. It has small white hexes and very fine silver glitter. Pirouette was part of OPI's 2012 New York City Ballet Collection. If any of my friends wanted to try a glitter but were worried it would be to much, this is the one I would recommend. Pirouette My Whistle is beautiful, but low keyed. It can go anywhere.
Does anyone else wear yellow? Sometimes I think yellow is a difficult color to work with and feel a lot of people shy away from it. But, I have always loved the soft butter yellow, which this is.
That's it for this time. Until next time, I hope today brings you a beautifully polished life.-Terri

Sally Girl and Pinkie Promise
This post is just a continuation of my Mani In A Soap Box post.
I used both my pink and mauve polishes when I was visiting my sister in Florida. Upon getting home, I was about to take of the mauve which is now called U Betcha It's order number is 812058 and color number is EH1 227. They don't have the names on the bottles and I went on site trying to match the color and skew number. I broke my bottle just after writing this post and want another one.
Maybe it was the shirt I was wearing but I noticed that Rainbow Honey's Pinkie Promise (from the Equestria collection) looked about the same color and value as what was on my nails. And a pairing was born! I have been wearing this a few days now and am not getting tired of it. It also looks good with blacks and grays.
Rainbow Honey's site describes Pinkie Promise as:
"A fun and shimmery pink base filled with hex and tinsel glitter in magenta, light blue, and gold - this polish calls for a party! "
That pretty much sums it up. I used about three coats of the Pinkie and the more I added, the more I liked.
I have used two of my Equestria polishes and have six more to go. Here's to some fun!
I don't know anyone (except my daughters-they borrow mine) who uses Rainbow Honey. I would love to hear from some more fans. They have a Facebook page that you can like and one can get email updates from the company.
