What's On My Nails Now

This week I have been wearing Mod Lacquer's Cerulean Light Beam. Mod Lacquer had some wonderful shades and a shop on ETSY. Unfortunately, last August they closed shop. I will miss them.

Cerulean Light Beam is just that, a light Cerulean sky blue holo that really shines in the natural sunlight. It is a gorgeous one.

That's it. Terri

Many Splendors and Boudicca

I have two colors that I have been wearing the past two weeks. First up is Rescue Beauty Lounge's Many Splendors for their last collection before closing doors. Like many others, I picked up a lot for myself. Unlike others, I am not selling them on Ebay for exorbitant prices.

Many Splendors is a matte textured polish with gold glitter. Sounds like Zoya's Pixie Dust doesn't it. It looks likes Pixie Dust. It made me remember that I don't have Dahlia (which has silver glitter) from the first Pixie Dust collection.

Next I wore Illamasqua's Boudicca for a future post on my Style Blog MeadowTree. This is an intense red orange with orange and pink micro-flakes. I you live in the states, just wait until Hautelook has a Illamasqua feature and pick some up there. When they have them, everything is half price.

That's it for today. Take care, Terri

Emerald and Ash's Desert Tears

It takes something special to make me buy more polish. Emerald and Ash's Desert Tears is just that.

I see it as a pink leaning taupe crelly base. It’s filled with scattered holo flecks of bright blue micro flakes and a touch of blue shimmer.

Half of the purchase is donated to Bob Woodruff Foundation in the support of wounded veterans.

The link to Emerald and Ash is HERE. And I will warn you that they make great smelling cuticle oils. It will be hard to leave without one.

Best Regards, Terri

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day!

And today I am wearing the Queen of Valentine's Day, Ruby Pumps by China Glaze. It has reigned since it's debut in 2001. It is just one of those tried and true classics.

Polish, The Accessory

I think this post is a turning point in my blogging life. I have had plenty of turning points since 2009. That is when I first starting blogging on Meadowtree. What started out to be a gateway for me to practice my photography actually became three different venues.

It's time to return to my roots. I will always love polish and will always consider it part of my overall style. But it is not an end to itself. At my age I want to do other things. I will return to B'nails occasionally, when I need to post photo for my Pinterest boards.

So here goes. This is Study In Black and Grey #1. These are the accessories that I wore to the symphony last weekend.

KOCO's Set In Stone, a darker grey creme.

For the symphony, I added some top glitter with Salon Perfect's Black Diamond

And that is it for a while, Take care Terri

Winterberries

Hi All, I'm back again with another design/ this one is for the Claire Estelle 8 Challenge on IG. The theme was Winterberries. I went with pastel berries on white stems with a gold background. I used a brush and dotting tool.

The polishes I used were:

  • Mod Lacquer's Golden Sunbeam (from Mid-Century Mod Collection) and the link is to her FB page. She closed shop.
  • Zoya's Cindy (from their Redbook Limited Edition Holiday Trio)
  •  Black Dahlia's Capital Rose Garden, African Violets and South Congress Bats
  • Wet N Wild's Hallucination

I has been really cloudy around here so all my photos are taken  inside with my lights. I sort of wanted it sort of Japanese and went with a pretty subtle look. One would think I was having a hard time leaving Christmas. HaHa

I already had the gold nails. I love this combo of Cindy on top of Golden Sunbeam.

And finally, here's Mod's Lacquer's Golden Sunbeam. Mod is another great polish maker that folded this Fall. I miss her whole take on the polish scene.

Hey, this is a quick post because today is the day that the designs are due for this Claire Estelle. I hope you enjoyed this one. Anyone else love to wear gold on their nails or do you consider it a "special occasion" only color?

So until next time, take care. Terri
