All In The Name Of Plaid

Hello, and how is everyone today? I have a very jewel tone mani today. It was created to join the WNAC2015 challenge on Instagram. I have no idea what WNAC stands for. Does anybody know? Please tell me if you do!

So getting back to the challenge. The months theme is jewel tone colors and the last challenge of the month is plaid.

Nail Art Nation's is also having a theme of lines for September. And plaid is nothing but a pattern of lines. So I am also using this as another line mani. Two birds with one stone, as they say!

The base polish is Man Eater by Ruby White Tips.
The wide dark grey/blue stripe is Josephine by Julep.
The small black stripes are Black Ink by Salon Perfect. However I did not use their stripper brush-used my own.
The gold lines are in my every faithful Stripe Rite gold and I did use their brush. I love Stripe Rite's brushes.
Finally, the glitter topper is Lobster Party by Lynnderella.

The whole party line up.

Well, that' it for this time. So until next time Shine On!

August Notebook

Well, here I am again one month later. Here's a run down of the few manis that I did for August. Or in other words, this was my IG feed for August. If you follow me on IG, these are all review.

I started August with this flower dotticure using Signet Nails Kiss Off, Yoko 3000 and Hashbrown No Filter. It is a jelly sandwich with a design in the middle rather than glitter.

Still working with Signet Lacquers, I then did a simple design using Tainted Love and Bells And Whistles.

It's Signet Again. This is my green wrap using, New Leaf, Out Of The Woods, and Opulent Okra with some added gold with my Strip Rite.

I was on a roll last month with Signet. Lauren was closing up shop and wanted her customers to do designs if possible. This is her Opal Flash over Dolf with an added top coat and studs.

This is Signet's thermal Tear The Roof Off over Dolf with some added stamping.

My last Signet mani. I did classical Greek vases using Lapis Lazuli over Yoko 3000.

Took some time off with Zoya's new Naked Manicure system.

O.K., I got bored and ended up topping it with Nfu-Oh'sFlakie #48

I started trying a new nail prep this month from Sallys.

And talk about new. Kim Michelle Colour has yet to release their first line of colors although she has some nail care items. I LOVE her cuticle balm in the Honeysuckle scent! This is her Teal Me Your Fantasy.

I needed a color to match this top which has a very colorful dragon embroidered on the front. The perfect match was Priti NYC's Wedgewood Blue.

My neon mani for the Hobby Polish Blogger's August Linkup. Again, I am using Signet polishes. The are Stranger Danger Ranger (yellow base), Slutsicle Orange, and Hashbrown No Filter.

I then went to a copy cat mani from The Polish Dude and paired KB Shimmer's A Pigment Of My Imagination with my Starbucks duochrome drink cup.

A fashion shot of A Pigment with one of my B Makowsky purses and one of my rings.

My final mani was a Galaxy using all Indies for Nail Art Nation's Indie week challenge. I use the following:
Signet Nails: Dolf, Tainted Love and Yuko3000
Ruby White Tops: Ashley Rose (thermal( Chai Maintenance, Misfit Toys and Here Piggy Piggy
My-Stash Lacquer: Shaken Not Stirred

Well that's it. For me, this was a lot in one month. I hope you enjoyed my photo. So until next month, Take care and shine on. Terri.

Two From Ruby White Tips

This post is very overdue. In fact, it is one year over due. At this point, neither of these polishes are available. But I am going ahead with it. Because, believe me there is more beautiful polish where these two came from.

Ruby White Tips is an Indie polish company started by Laura Toff and residing at ETSY.

Last year I decided to try RWT's Mystery Box. I thought it would be fun. For $15.25 (+ some shipping) Laura will send you at least two polishes and a few goodies.

Well, rather that just giving her a color, I decided to send a story board and see if she would be OK with it. In the three images there were tons of shades represented and I was going to probably be happy with about any of them because I was going more for a mood than a color.

Laura was game and sent me two gorgeous fall polishes, a dotter tool, two emery boards and a polish bracelet (which I have not done a thing with yet).

The Polish Low Down

Harvest Maize

Harvest Maize was part of RWT's Fall '13 lineup. It fitted perfectly with the ancient coin on my inspiration page.

Harvest Maize is a rich antique brass tone with grey/violet undertones. It is chalked full of micro glitter and hits me as a metallic but without the streakiness  that usually comes with a metallic. Well, that is at least how my eyes see it.

Scarlet Sienna

To me, Scarlet Sienna does burning embers justice. This is a red/orange shimmer and I was never sure if it was from a previous release or a prototype. I couldn't actually find it on the ETSY store. However, I do know it is a stunner.

Adding A Little Extra

I found Esmaltes da Kelly's The Forgotten on clearance at Llarowe this summer. When I saw it I knew it would be the perfect match for Harvest Maize.

Here is a little Halloween mani I did using Scarlet Sienna. The thumb and pinkie have a top coat of China Glaze's Get Carried Away.

Go check out Laura's current line up on ETSY. Especially check out Man Eater and Misfit Toys; truly classics.

Or just go for it! Get the Mystery Box. You will not be disappointed. That's it for this time around, so until next time...........take care, Terri
